COLLECTION: DIMA ABOU ZANNAD

Dima Abou Zannad's (b. 1999, Beirut) work plays with ideas of documenting and recording, extracting from diaries and driven by a need to confess and a compulsion to make a mark. Fearing an evanescence of thought and emotion, seeking to provide space and shape for language. Due to the highly intuitive nature of her process, she is drawn to frail and delicate media and the interaction between them. Process is a fundamental part to her work, substituting for language at times. Abou Zannad graduated with a BFA from the College of Fine Arts and Design:University of Sharjah, 2021.
